Goodness me, where do I start 😍 On a Saturday evening we had the 3 course Prix Fixe Menu, because how do you choose from a menu that delicious? Firstly. Do not sleep on the bread and butter starter… honestly if that was the whole meal I would have walked away floating. The Witlof salad entree was a highlight, with the softest, melt-in-your-mouth dates, and the pig head schnitzel texture combination, again, melted in your mouth with a wasabi, apple and cabbage side. Mains: could not go past the barramundi, with its paired sauce, I still don’t understand how something can be so light but have a deep kaleidoscope of flavor. The onion and shiitake tart that accompanied the steak was possibly the texture and flavor I loved the most. I’ll be dreaming of that one for a long time. Dessert was mind blowing. Just… do yourself a favor and get the chocolate and black sesame pavé… and enjoy the delight in your mouth as you figure out what the genius is that you’re tasting. A beautiful location, a welcoming and professional team, a buzzing atmosphere, and the most divinely curated food in Brisbane. Brava 👌🏼

Things I didn't realise my life was missing: "Nashville style" rock lobster on white bread Things my life will never be the same after: the aforementioned! And the Aged Duck. There are no words! Seriously. The food was top notch, the cocktails were very very nice, and the staff were impeccably awesome. Shout out to Grace for the delicious drinks. A whisky to end the night was a perfect suggestion. And to Sam for the wonderful service, and recommendation on where to head after. Would highly recommend dropping by! Very worthwhile, and I'll definitely have to come back

Everything was perfect Especially we tried the wine called Clarence which has the same name as the restaurant and it was amazing.. (I heard they contacted the brewery directly for it)The wine list was great and we're very enjoy with both the service and the food One small thing, we ordered potatoes as a side with our main dish and It was a bit too salty The duck was already well seasoned so together it felt slightly unbalanced But I understand that European food is often on the salty side so maybe it was intentional

We had a delicious meal. The crab bite was a a tast sensation - Singapore spicy on a crunchy thin toast, the two king prawns delicious with quiet capers and the gazpacho with almond cream and mini crisps and charcuterie were terrific. We had the lamb - beautifully pink with marbled crispy fat and a gorgeous tartlette with the snapper which had a perfect cook. The bed of leeks was delicious but too rich and creamy to my taste although the new potatoes were gorgeous. Lovely bottle of Riesling and some glasses of pinto and Shiraz. Top service from a Yorkshire woman and a lovely lunch!

Loved everything about dining at Clarence - our server was really lovely, artwork is literally the cutest I’ve ever seen, and food was just perfect. Especially enjoyed the Singapore mud crab snack, witlof salad and scotch steak. I will be raving about this place to my friends and family!!

Amazing food - fine dining, but with a lovely down to earth team. Can see the freshest quality ingredients were used, and that meticulous effort was made to ensure that the best flavours were brought out. Lucky that they've moved right under our apartments, can certainly see us making excuses to come again!

Tucked quietly on a charming street, Clarence restaurant had long piqued our curiosity. After several passing moments, we finally decided to step inside, and we’re pleased to say, it was more than worth the wait. We began our journey with a white peach gazpacho, the vibrant coolness of summer encapsulated in a bowl. The refreshing, slightly tangy peach broth, accompanied by rich jamon iberico and delicate potato chips, was a revelation. A second round of chips followed, of course, because there’s something deeply satisfying about dipping them into the gazpacho, it’s a vibe, as the kids say. Next, the wild kingfish, presented alongside a pairing of raspberry, white soy, and ginger, balanced the delicate brininess of the fish with a surprising pop of sweet tart fruitiness. It was a harmonious blend; refreshing, bold, and entirely unexpected in the best way possible. The market fish, a line-caught red snapper arrived with dill pickle butter and new potatoes. The silky texture was elevated by the dill pickle butter, which added a sharp, herby richness, making this dish both comforting and sophisticated. But the real showstopper was the magra lamb saddle; a perfectly executed cut, nestled beside a silky caramelised onion tart, earthy asparagus, and pickled shiitake. Each element, in harmony, showcased the brilliance of simplicity done right. The lamb was, hands down, the finest we’ve had in recent memory; juicy, tender, drawing out its natural flavors. Then came the dry-aged duck, a dish that wasn’t part of our original order so it came on the house. With cherry, zucchini, and a punch of yuzu kosho, it was the epitome of balance; smoky and sweet. So good we’ll return for it. On the beverage front, the Mr Clean cocktail and ginger beer were the perfect companions. The true icing on the cake, however, was the staff. Rarely does one encounter such effortless grace and attentive service. They were more than just servers; they were guides, anticipating our needs before

Came here for my birthday dinner and it was 5 stars all round! Great atmosphere and lovely service from Ottie and the team. We originally looked at the 3-course meal but decided to go with a few appetizers, an entree, a shared main, and two sides instead. It was the perfect amount of food, leaving us feeling satisfied but not bloated. Every dish was excellent, with the only minor exception being the fries with curried ketchup. They were a bit underwhelming compared to the rest (still good, just a bit of an "Oh..." moment). Overall a fantastic night.

We treated ourselves to the Sunday Lunch Roast, and it absolutely exceeded expectations. For $75 per person, this is exceptional value and one of the best dining deals in Brisbane. The meal kicks off with a generous selection of three incredible shared entrées (yes, you get to enjoy all three!), setting a delicious tone right from the start. Then comes the star: the weekly changing roast, served with an abundance of trimmings. We had the beautifully cooked Wagyu Beef Rump – tender, flavoursome, and perfectly roasted. The highlight for me? Those incredible roast potatoes cooked in beef fat – crispy, golden, and utterly addictive. To finish, we shared two delightful desserts, rounding out a perfectly balanced and satisfying three-course experience. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely excellent. They handled my gluten-free requirements effortlessly, making small tweaks without any fuss. It was my birthday, and the thoughtful touch of a handwritten birthday card waiting at our table when we arrived made the day feel extra special. The restaurant itself has a lovely relaxed, casual vibe that’s welcoming and unpretentious, and the friendly staff elevated the whole experience even further. Highly recommend for a leisurely Sunday lunch, special occasions, or anyone craving a proper roast done right. We’ll definitely be back!
